She ran the thin pocket knife down the calloused skin on her index fingertip, not intending to cut into her flesh today, but pushing just that extra bit harder, the extra bit which most girls would probably not feel comfortable with. Her flecked hazel eyes narrowed as she heard a sound behind her. Her eyebrow twitched, and her face grew blank as she swivelled around in her computer chair, slipping her knife deftly into its case, which she slid that into the pocket of her cotton shorts.
"I thought you quit with the S.I.," said the alternative-looking boy standing at the doorway to her room.
